Weeton & Huby Players are an amateur dramatic group that perform in the Almscliffe Hall, Huby. We usually perform 3 nights in either March or November.
We draw most of our performers and team from the local villages, although if you have a sense of humour and a bit of swagger, you’ll fit in no matter where you live.

An amdram group performing out of Huby between Harrogate and Pool in Wharfedale.

The Players Photofilm
Nick Goring is also a local photographer and has the wonderful knack of telling a story through the still images that he captures.
In March 2014, he spent some time at the rehearsals and production of Tim Firth’s Neville’s Island, a dark comedy set on an island in the Lake District during an ill-fated management team building exercise.
He also talked to Neil Muffitt about how the play gathered momentum during rehearsals and on to the opening night. The result is this vivid and thoughtful photofilm.
